HellyCopter

The player has to control his helicopter and rescue blue gibs while destroying red ones. After meeting the kill and rescue quotas, the copter has to land on the designated platform.

Controls

Arrow keys or WASD - fly around;
G - extend/retract landing gear;
Right mouse button or shift - nitro;
H - help screen.
F3 - restart.
Alt+enter - fullscreen mode.

1 - select harpoon;
2 - select air cannon;
Mouse - aim;
Left mouse button - fire selected weapon.

While controlling the copter, you have to avoid high-speed collisions with environment, as they damage it. Your energy level is displayed in the top left corner of the screen. When it falls to zero, the copter explodes. Colliding the rotor against an obstacle causes rapid energy loss - it's the most fragile and sensitive part of the machine. Your engine is capable of working in nitro mode, giving short bursts of power that allow you to carry heavy loads and accelerate or decelerate faster than normal. Your remaining nitro power is indicated by the yellow bar in the top left corner of the screen. It recovers automatically when not used. If the copter's landing gear is extended, nitro power is expended faster and the copter is harder to control, so extend it only when it is needed.

Weapons

The harpoon is used for carrying things with a special cable. It can be used pick up gibs (Both red and blue ones), blocks and the mobile teleport (Not the stationary one!). Also, the captured item can be spun around and thrown - this may be needed for some levels.
The air cannon pushes objects it hits around. It can be used to destroy buildings, clear rubble and kill red gibs.

Rescuing gibs - it's a job for the chosen one!
You are a pilot of a helicopter - the chosen gib. Most levels have you rescuing other gibs. Exactly how many you need is displayed on the control panel. To rescue a gib
you have to drag it to a teleport. This is usually accomplished with the harpoon. Keep in mind that a dead gib is not pulled into the teleport, but pushed away from it, and it can't be rescued. Sometimes you don't have to rescue all blue gibs on a level, so you may sacrifice some of them (Even kill them), or just ignore them altogether.

Death to the red gibs!
Red gibs have to be killed. It can be done in several ways:

  • Shred them with the copter's rotor.
  • Crush them with it's hull.
  • Crush them with a block.
  • Shoot them with the air cannon.

Either way of killing is chosen based on the situation. Usually the fastest way is the best, to clear the level as quickly as possible. How many red gibs have to be eliminated is displayed on the panel in the top left corner of the screen.
